In the province of Lampoon (North Thailand), famous Thai monk Phra Krubah Seewichai came into this world in the year BE 2421 on September 11. The very day that he was borned, it was raining cats and dogs with thunderstorm and lightning. Surprisingly when Phra Krubah Seewichai came out from his mother's womb, the sky suddenly turned clear and sunny.

In Lampoon, Krubah Katdtiya (monk) was on Tudong arriving the place called Bahn Pahng. During that period of time, no temple could be seen in Bahn Pahng. Upon reaching the place, some villagers saw the monk dutong passed by the area, they hurriedly built a small hut for him to reside in the village. He had studied every skills that being taught by his teacher Krubah Katdtiya.

At 25 years of age, Phra Krubah Seewichai saw that his family was very poor so decided to leave his monkhood to help and support his family. But his parents denied that and asked him to visit a monk called Krubah Samana. At that time, Krubah Samana was a wise monk so to seek his advice about leaving his monkhood. Obeying his parent's instruction, Phra Krubah Seewichai went to visit Krubah Samana. When Krubah Samana saw Phra Krubah Seewichai, he told him not to leave his monkhood and had asked him to go to Krubah Upala at Wat Doi Dtae. Upon reaching Wat Doi Dtae, Phra Krubah Seewichai asked Krubah Upala for advice. After talking with Krubah Upala, he taught Phra Krubah Seewichai the Dhamma and Sammahdti. After some time learning Dhamma and Sammahdti from Krubah Upala, Phra Krubah Seewichai no longer thought of leaving his monkhood.

Phra Krubah Seewichai went back to his village and one of the villagers gave him some meat to eat. Immediately after Phra Krubah Seewichai consumed, he had vomitted and fell ill. From that day onwards, every time Phra Krubah Seewichai consumed meat, he would vomit and fell sick. After many incidents, Phra Krubah Seewichai turned to become vegatrian and no longer eating meat.

In the year BE 2427, Phra Krubah Seewichai helped Krubah Kadtiya to build a temple at Bahn Pahng. Phra Krubah Seewichai took over to become abbot of the temple in Bahn Pahng when Krubah Kadtiya departed and laid in peace.

During his time of being abbot, Phra Krubah Seewichai strictly observed a disciplined rountine daily. Every morning at 5 am, Phra Krubah Seewichai woke up to do sweeping of the temple's compound. After which he would do his daily chanting before going to the villager for alms. Then in the afternoon, he took some time to teach the villagers, novice monks and children about Buddha's teachings. When night fell, he continue with his chanting and practising sammahdti. During his time as an abbot, he hardly left the temple.

Since Phra Krubah Seewichai did not consumed any meat, he had became very thin. When the villagers saw that, they had offered expensive gifts for their respects but he simply passed their gifts to poor villagers. Phra Krubah Seewichai was happy for a simple meal of rice and vegetables daily.

Phra Krubah Seewichai had been a monk for 11 years (BE 2450) and at that time, Buddhism had gained popularity in Thailand and many people had turned to become monks. Then the government had established some ruling about people becoming monks as a control. Out of all the rules, one of them was that a permit must be applied from the province head before anyone can be ordained. Since then, many people approached Phra Krubah Seewichai to be ordained under him. Phra Krubah Seewichai had applied for the permit on behalf to have the permits. But after several months, there were no response from the province head. Phra Krubah Seewichai thought that it should be okay to ordain them since their parents had already given permission for their sons to be ordained. Upon knowing this news, the province head was very furious and saying that Phra Krubah Seewichai was arrogant and did not respect the authority given to them. Phra Krubah Seewichai had explained to the province head and was finally forgiven. From that time onwards, Phra Krubah Seewichai had to seek permit for all the people who wished to be ordained under him.

Phra Krubah Seewichai had spent most time in practising Sammahdti and unable to attend meeting by the Buddhist Council. This incident had upset the head of the Buddhist Council and punished Phra Krubah Seewichai by sending him as a normal monk in Wat Pratahirikonchai and stripping his title as an abbot of Wat Bahn Pahng. Phra Krubah Seewichai had accepted the punishment without any questioning and stayed in Wat Pratahirikonchai doing his practise of Sammadhdti and never left the temple for a year.

During his stay in Wat Pratahirikonchai, the abbot complained about him for not obeying orders. The temple abbot then chased Phra Krubah Seewichai away. The temple abbot had informed other temples in Lampoon not to accept or let Phra Krubah Seewichai to be resided in their temples. At that time, Phra Maha Samana Chow (monk) had heard of this incident about Phra Krubah Seewichai's plight, decided to write a letter to Phra Kongmeunchinworn to understand why this had happened to a good monk. Learning about this, Phra Kongmeuanchinworn had done some investigations but could not find any faults with Phra Krubah Seewichai. He then requested Phra Krubah Seewichai to follow him to Bangkok to meet Phra Sangkaraht (Chief Monk of Thailand).

There were a huge crowd sending him off and when he reached Bangkok, Phra Krubah Seewichai stayed in Wat Benjamabopit. Phra Krubah Seewichai was asked by Phra Sankaraht on the whole entire issue but found that it was no faults by Phra Krubah Seewichai at all. After this incident, Phra Sangkaraht issued an order that Phra Krubah Seewichai was to be allowed to return and stay in any temples in Lampoon he wanted.
